Here are some Coming Events for the rest of 2019 and early 2020 at St. Joseph Chapel/Shrine of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (400 South Blvd. West, Pontiac, MI 48341):
1. On Friday, Nov. 1 (First Friday), we will be open for All Saints’ Day—a Holy Day of Obligation—at the usual hours.
2. We will celebrate All Souls’ Day on First Saturday, Nov. 2.
3. First Wednesday is on Nov. 6.
4. The Holy Hour for Vocations at 9:30 am in St. Joseph’s Chapel will continue on First Thursdays: Nov. 7 & Dec. 5 (but not on January 2, 2020).
5. A Healing Service will take place at St Joseph’s Chapel on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 7:00 pm with Confessions at 6:15 pm.
6. We will be closed during our Holy Land Pilgrimage, Dec. 2-16.
7. We will be open two days during December: Tuesday, Dec. 17 & Saturday, Dec. 21.
8. On Wednesday, January 1, you are invited to gather at the shrine-grotto of the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary at 3:00 pm for the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and the praying of the WHOLE Rosary (20 Mysteries) in honor of her primary mystery—her divine maternity as Mother of God. (There is no Mass.) If we cannot accommodate everyone in the little building, we will move into St. Joseph Chapel.
9. We re-open in 2020 on First Friday, January 3.
10. The 2020 Holy Land Pilgrimage dates are April 20-May 4 and November 30-December 14. (Orientation Meetings are February 9 and September 27.) Please spread the word.
